The article describes characteristics of rehabilitation of children suffering from juvenile idiopathic arthritis (JIA). The analysis is based on practice of the Rehabilitation Department of the Rheumatology Institute in Warsaw. Rehabilitation of child patients suffering from chronic joint disorders is a multistage process which requires deep understanding of pathomechanics of the muscular and skeletal systems. Rehabilitation requires close cooperation between the rehabilitation team and the rheumatologist as well as great support from parents of the child patient.
