A technique of diagnostic laparoscopy during routine laparoscopic cholecystectomy is presented. A pattern in the shape of a reversed number “5” allows diagnostic continuity to be achieved in inspection of most abdominal organs available. The technique was elaborated, standardized and published with preliminary results in Surgical Laparoscopy, Endoscopy and Percutaneous Techniques [1].
