The review of investigations of quality of life of patients with rheumatoid arthritis

Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) is a chronic, inflammatory, systemic connective tissue disease leading to loss of function in the joints, disability, and physical handicap.
Additional, diseases co-existing and frequent complications caused treatment are impact in functional loss. Evaluation of quality of life of patients with rheumatoid arthritis concerns three domains: physical, emotional, social and arthritis pain and arthritis impact. RA effects the quality of life in the physical domain. These effects joint pain, which makes everyday activities difficult for the patient. The most frequently emotional problems among patients with RA are: depression, decrease mood and high level of tension. Important for social functioning among patients with RA is support from family and friends, and specific health care. The principal goals of health care for patients with joint disorders are to maintain independence and preserve good quality of life.
