The aim of this study was estimation of IGF – I and IGF BP – 3
concentration in cord blood serum in 56 healthy neonates with normal birthweight: including 11 premature and 45 full term infants.
The present study has shown, that birthweight of new-born children depends on IGF – I
concentration in serum and
IGF – I concentration rises with newborn's gestation age.
There was also showed significant correlation between IGF – I
and IGF BP – 3 concentration in full term neonates cord blood serum.
