Potencial marker of an endometrium\'s function is glycodelin A (GdA). Concentration of GdA changes with menstruation period and is regulated by hormones. GdA is presented in endometrium, serum and amniotic fluid. GdA has a major role in implantation proces. GdA has also immunosupresive function and may regulate immunological reaction to fetus. GdA plays role also as an anticonception substance. GdA disturbs sperm cell binding to egg cell. Many infertile women have inappropriate GdA secretion. In PCOS women, concentration of GdA is less in first month of pregnancy, and it\'s probably connected with increased early pregnancy loss rate. Treatment with metformin before pregnancy increases pregnancy rate, and continuing it thorough pregnancy reduces early pregnancy loss
