In spite of solid progress in proper understanding of hypersensitiveness, food allergy still causes many controversies and doubts. Paediatricians value the scale of the problem but in practice clinical and ambulant of relating adult persons often we do not notice causes of ill complaint, at the base of which lie occurrences of hypersensitiveness to consumed food. This problem refers both to doctors basic wholesome care as and of doctors of specialists. The article is an attempt at approximation of problems connected with intolerance of foods, observed in medical practice everyday based on topical knowledge.
