Atopic dermatitis (AD) is a chronic dermatological condition commonly encountered in medical practice. It often coexists with other allergic diseases and has a genetic basis. Skin lesions vary depending on age, and the disease usually begins in childhood, although it can also occur in adults. The diagnosis of AD is primarily based on the clinical presentation and the diagnostic criteria of Hanifin and Rajka. According to the guidelines, AD treatment should be tailored to the individual needs of the patient, considering both symptomatic and preventive therapies. Early diagnosis, proper skin care, patient education, and monitoring of treatment outcomes are crucial for improving the quality of life of patients. Effective treatment of AD should quickly alleviate symptoms, improve the quality of life of patients, and prevent relapses and flare-ups.
