AL Amyloidosis is a disorder associated with plasma cell dyscrasia and is caused by the deposition of abnormal protein in multiple organs. We report a case of a 51-year-old man with intrahepatic cholestasis, in whom AL amyloidosis with lambda light secretion was diagnosed. Jaundice was associated with heart failure and nephrotic syndrome with renal failure. The progression of the disease was rapid, eventually resulting in patient’s death on the 19th day of hospitalization. Amyloidosis should be taken into consideration in the differential diagnosis of cholestatic syndromes.
