Recurrent respiratory infections are a significant clinical problem and a diagnostic and therapeutic challenge, especially in children. Inosine pranobex is a drug with proven immunomodulatory and antiviral properties. The article is a review of in vitro, in vivo, and clinical trials showing the usefulness of the drug in supporting the treatment of recurrent upper respiratory tract infections, along with the practical algorithm of conduct for physicians.
