Herbal medicinal products – herbal medicines – are characterized by multidirectional action within the gastrointestinal tract, normalizing the functions of the liver, gallbladder, bile ducts, stomach, intestines, and also have an effect on the secretory function of the pancreas. This study focuses on plant-based products in the category of traditional products as classified by the European Medicines Agency, which have proven efficacy and safety based on their 30-year.
