Introduction:
Cutaneous lupus erythematosus is a connective tissue disease that may occur independently or with systemic lupus erythematosus. Psoriasis is a chronic skin disease often linked to metabolic syndrome. No systematic review has explored the coexistence of cutaneous lupus erythematosus and psoriasis.

Methods:
Following PRISMA guidelines, databases (PubMed, EMBASE, Scopus, Web of Science) were searched for articles published up to December 2023.

Results:
17 articles involving 17 patients with cutaneous lupus erythematosus and psoriasis were analysed. Subacute cutaneous lupus erythematosus was the most common subtype (58.8%), and plaque psoriasis predominated (82.35%). Positive ANA antibodies were found in 82.35% of patients, with UV hypersensitivity in 23.5%. Cutaneous lupus erythematosus lesions were mainly located on the head-neck-face (62.5%); psoriasis appeared mostly on the legs (62.5%). The most common treatment was discontinuing biologics for psoriasis (37.6%).

Conclusions:
The co-occurrence of cutaneous lupus erythematosus and psoriasis is rare, with subacute cutaneous lupus erythematosus and plaque psoriasis being the most common combination.
