Celiac disease is a condition in which there is an abnormal small intestinal mucosa caused by diet with gluten that improves when treated with a gluten-free diet. It is diagnosed more and more often in adults and can coexists with other diseases with immunological background like inflammatory bowel diseases. To confirm the diagnosis of celiac disease the most important is the result of jejunal biopsy and the presence of anti endomysium and anti-tissue transglutaminase IgA antibodies in serum. All of the patients should be treated with gluten-free diet
