Przedstawiamy przebieg insulinoterapii w trakcie całkowitego żywienia parenteralnego zastosowanego u chłopca z cukrzycą typu 1, leczonego osobistą pompą insulinową (OPI), u którego doszło do powstania śródściennego krwiaka dwunastnicy (ŚKD) jako powikłania diagnostycznej gastroskopii. W dotychczasowych opracowaniach brak jest wytycznych co do terapii insuliną w żywieniu pozajelitowym u dzieci. Dodatkowo ŚKD to bardzo rzadkie powikłanie endoskopii górnego odcinka przewodu pokarmowego. Do tej pory opisano w literaturze nieliczne przypadki.
