The 1st Conference of the PTD’s Diabetes Dietetics Section is coming up in September
Is diet the cornerstone of treatment for diabetes and obesity, or merely one element of a complex therapeutic system? Experts will answer this question during the online conference ‘Hot and Spicy – Hot Debates in Diet Therapy’ on 19 September.
Hot and Spicy – Hot Debates in Dietetic Therapy is the first conference organised by the Diabetes Dietetics Section of the Polish Diabetes Association. The event’s scientific committee comprises Dr Anna Jeznach-Steinhagen, MD, PhD, Maja Sosnowska, MSc, and Mateusz Michalski, MSc.
The conference comprises three thematic sessions focusing on key areas of modern diet therapy in diabetes and the treatment of obesity. The programme covers topics related to nutritional strategies (including low-carbohydrate diets and fasting), the role of new technologies, such as CGM, insulin pumps and therapy-supporting apps, and an interdisciplinary approach to the treatment of obesity, encompassing pharmacotherapy, patient communication and current clinical guidelines.
The event is aimed at doctors, dietitians, psychologists, pharmacists, nurses and all professionals interested in this topic.
