W artykule opisano przypadek współwystępowania choroby afektywnej dwubiegunowej z zespołem Aspergera u dwudziestotrzyletniej kobiety. U pacjentki obserwowano od okresu dojrzewania zaburzenia zachowania oraz funkcjonowania społecznego, do których dołączyły objawy spełniające kryteria rozpoznania choroby afektywnej dwubiegunowej typu II. Po ustaleniu ostatecznego rozpoznania oraz zastosowaniu leczenia zgodnego z doniesieniami z literatury uzyskano zdecydowaną poprawę stanu psychicznego. Po półtora roku od ostatniego epizodu afektywnego pacjentka kontynuuje studia prawnicze na zagranicznej uczelni.
